SAU Campus Police Chief Appointed to the Durham City-County Appearance Commission
Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) Associate Vice President of Police and Public Safety and Chief of Campus Police Charles Simpson was appointed to the Durham City-County Appearance Commission last semester on December 13, 2022. Chief Simpson’s term on the commission will last for three years and four months and will end on April 30, 2026.
The Durham City-County Appearance Commission (DCCAC) comprises fifteen members: seven are appointed by the City Council, and the Board of County Commissioners appoints eight. They are tasked with enhancing and improving Durham City and County’s visual quality and aesthetic character.
